GREAT TASTE, EASY STEPS
The love of real food has (thankfully!) made a resurgence in our modern societies. Spices have been the reason for exploration and trade for centuries! The challenge of course, is having or making the time to cook, having the space to store all these spices (whilst keeping them fresh), and then how and when to use them.
We are exposed to international cuisines but many find cooking with spices daunting. It really doesn't need to be! We have taken our traditional recipes, combined spices in the correct proportions, and made them ready for you to use.
Open one jar of a masala and go! Add all your fresh ingredients, and start cooking within minutes. You will have mouthwatering dishes ready to serve in no time at all without fancy equipment or specialty shopping.

The long range plan is to grow, dry, and grind as many of the spices ourselves on our own farm. For now, we source in order of priority: organic (if possible), local (if available), non-GMO (always).

OLD (secret) FAMILY RECIPES
The process of creating masalas is not unlike many art forms, except this one is edible! There is also a delay for the end-user, when they take the product home and we aren't there to guide them.
When we created these spice blends, it took some time to first analyze and write down the steps so others could follow on their own at home without fuss or worry.
The oral traditions had to be converted to the written word, while dabs, dashes and pinches had to be measured and scaled up.
We then tested the process as if trying them for the first time. How does someone feel about using so many spices if they never have before? How could we explain certain processes to the newbie?
The whole point in creating these masalas was to take away the fear or the intimidation factor, for the ordinary home cook. Hence the tagline came into being:
" Easy & Exotic Masalas, Mix It Up Like a Pro! "
The enhanced aspect of this was that as people gained confidence in their cooking, they reported back and shared how they used a particular masala in a new dish - creating even more interesting & mouthwatering possibilities.
